CHANUKA EVENTS

The Grand Menorah Lighting and Chanukah Fair will take place at Parque de la Democracia in Paitilla (map here) on Sunday December 21st at 4 PM, with the lighting of the 8th Chanukah candle. The event will include community leaders, entertainments for children, surprises, food sale, music, show, BIG RAFFLE and a joyful celebration for all ages. (approx. end time 7:30 PM)

Here are more Chanuka features you might like:

1. Daily menorah lighting: takes place every night of Chanukah at Chabad between Mincha and Arvit. This lighting does not fulfill the personal mitzvah, and each family should light their own menorah at home.
2. Lighting at Chabad: If your hotel does not allow candle lighting, you may light your menorah at Chabad as long as you order food (from a kosher local restaurant or supermarket) and remain seated for at least 30 minutes in front of the candles according to halacha.
3. Purchasing your own Menorah: Menorah kits including a menorah and candles are available at Chabad for five dollars. Come get yours. No reservation needed.
4. Menorah lighting on Erev Shabbat: On Erev Shabbat, pre set menorahs will be available at the Chabad Center for anyone to light without reservation.
5. Chanuka market fair: On Sunday December 14th, lighting of the 1st candle at CC Beth El from 3 to 7 PM. Entrance fee 10$ per kids. Free for adults.
